Tailored approach

We support people to prevent them becoming homeless that may be to provide support to help them stay in their current home or find an appropriate alternative. We also provide a range of supported accommodation options to suit the needs of our customers where support continues to help them work towards living independently. Our support for young people is tailored to their specific needs.

Disputes and conflict are often a key factor leading to eviction from a home or feeling the need to leave. Mediation can help rebuild relationships and result in the person keeping their current home, or temporarily agree to stay until alternative suitable accommodation can be found. This type of service is most effective with immediate or extended family members, and can also be used to open discussions with landlords.

Preventative support

We provide a visiting support service to customers at risk of losing their home, this is offered to people living in any type of accommodation, to prevent homelessness before it happens. Referrals for this support can be made by the person themselves, a landlord or another agency on behalf of the individual.

Together we’ll consider the best approach to support the individual to improve their current housing situation, minimising the risk of them losing their home.

Young people aged 16 – 25

Our specialist service focuses on supporting young people to remain at home where it is safe to do so. The support for those who do leave home will be focused on their journey to independence and achieving their personal aspirations.

Temporary and supported accommodation

We offer a range of short-term accommodation across west Cheshire for those who require a temporary base or a more supportive living environment. This is for people who have lost their home for whatever reason and have some support needs. Whilst living in supported accommodation customers have a dedicated Support Worker who will encourage them to address the reasons for them becoming homeless and provide opportunities to improve their life skills.

A key focus of this service is to support people to find a secure home for the longer-term that they are able to manage and thrive in.
